Dick Morrissey

Saxophonist Dick Morrissey (Richard Edwin Morrissey) (1940-2000) was a British fusion jazz musician and composer. He played tenor sax, soprano sax and flute. He was the co-founder with guitarist Jim Mullen, of the Morrissey Mullen jazz rock band.

Dick Morrissey died early november 2000 at the aged 60, after a 7 year battle with cancer.

He was influenced by Stan Getz, Sonny Rollins, and Tubby Hayes1).
